National Thrift Shop Day is celebrated every year on August 17. It serves as a friendly reminder to visit your local thrift store. For many shoppers, no reminder is needed. For them, thrifting and secondhand shopping is a way of life.

Each year, Goodwill employees are encouraged to share stories of individuals who have overcome significant barriers to achieve success. Through a formal nomination and selection process, candidates are narrowed down to the top three finalists in each category.Once the award winners are selected, a video production process begins to bring these remarkable stories of resilience to life.

The month of January is Get Organized Month, designated by the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO). It’s the start of the new year and fresh beginnings, so this is the perfect time to clean and organize your spaces that are overflowing with items that are no longer needed.
