For Moussa Ibrahim, opportunity often wears the disguise of need. Whether it’s a student trying to budget for tuition or a community seeking financial literacy, Moussa shows up ready to serve and stretch each opportunity into something greater. A mission-driven professional and passionate relationship builder, he’s spent the last few years using his skills to uplift others – both in his role at Old National Bank and as a dedicated member of the Goodwill Young Leaders Board, a board of professionals formed to engage a new generation of leaders to further the mission of Goodwill.

It was in college that Moussa found his calling. While applying for a unique scholarship, he got involved with the university’s student financial success center. He didn’t just succeed – he thrived. Soon, he was leading workshops with creative, student-centered themes like “how to budget for a first date.” That work opened the door to a career built on financial education, community outreach and human connection.

Moussa’s commitment and relational skills didn’t go unnoticed. In addition to his role at the university, Moussa worked part-time at Lowe’s. During one of his shifts, a customer, who happened to be a senior executive at Old National Bank, was so impressed with Moussa’s people skills that he invited him to explore a future at the bank. That encounter led to a role where Moussa now leads financial literacy efforts, building partnerships with state agencies, schools and nonprofits. He’s taught more than 400 in-person workshops and continues to find joy in helping others succeed.

His connection to Goodwill is personal and professional. When Old National Bank was asked to recommend a young leader to serve on the Goodwill Young Leaders Board, Moussa was asked to consider filling the role. “Goodwill felt like home,” he says, recalling shopping trips with his family. He joined the board more than two years ago and remains inspired by the mission, particularly Goodwill’s commitment to education and employment for individuals with barriers.

“What excites me most is how Goodwill makes people feel seen, heard and held,” he says.

Now attending his second Gather for Goodwill event in July, Moussa continues to advocate for Goodwill’s impact and future. He believes in compassion, in second chances, and in building futures where everyone belongs, and he’s using his voice to make that vision real.
