The Excel Center®, Goodwill's tuition-free high school for adults, recently celebrated its summer graduating class. Designed to empower individuals to overcome adversity and reach their potential, The Excel Center provides a unique opportunity for adult learners, like Sylvia and Natacha Beogo, to earn an Indiana Core 40 high school diploma.

When the Beogo sisters moved to the United States from Burkina Faso, they spoke no English, which limited their employment opportunities. After 16 months at The Excel Center, both not only learned to speak proficient English, but they also graduated with a GPA exceeding 3.6 and enrolled in college to pursue their nursing careers.

"The Excel Center helped us more than we knew it could, and we are grateful,” Sylvia Beogo said.

Amidst the challenges many residents face in Marion County, where more than 10% of adults lack a high school diploma, The Excel Center offers individualized support and a path to success. The Excel Center has celebrated thousands of graduates who have joined the workforce or are continuing their education at local universities.

With 16 campuses across central and southern Indiana, with two more expected to open this year, The Excel Center has graduated more than 8,000 adults. Learn more and enroll at excelcenter.org.
