Last month, Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana hosted the The Excel Center® National Conference. The National Conference is an opportunity for individuals operating within The Excel Center network to share information, hear from graduates and learn best practices in serving students. Attendees were invited to panel discussions, sessions from industry experts and addresses from Leaders from Goodwills and The Excel Center locations across the country.

This year, over 200 participants from 13 different states and Washington D.C. were in attendance. On top of engaging sessions about the best practices of operating The Excel Center model, individuals were able to attend a practice day event at the IMS track, complete with practice runs and great networking opportunities.

Senior Vice President of Goodwill Betsy Delgado shares that “It is important to gather Goodwill Excel Center leaders from around the country to learn from each other, build relationships and find time to have fun together. Our goals for the 2024 Excel Center National Conference were to solidify our collective commitment to access to high school diplomas for adults and to focus on providing first class education for our students.”

The Excel Center is a tuition-free, public charter high school for adults. Currently there are 16 locations in Central and Southern Indiana and 25 more across the country. The goal is to grow to 50 schools by the end of 2026 and 85 schools by the end of 2030.

Since 2010, The Excel Center has helped thousands of graduates increase their earning potential with a free high school diploma and industry recognized certifications.
