Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana recently celebrated the opening of its store in Lawrence, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 17. Located at 11615 Fox Road, the store features a large inventory of clothing, housewares, toys, books and more. Store hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The store accepts donations during normal business hours.
“We’re always thrilled to open a new store since it means we can create a greater impact in the communities we serve,” said Kent A. Kramer, president and CEO of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana. “The revenue from our stores goes directly to critical services that change lives through education, housing, health and employment.”
Along with the new location in Lawrence, Goodwill operates stores nearby in Fishers and Westfield. The new store employs over 60 people, who are also beneficiaries of Goodwill’s mission. They benefit from wraparound services and programs such as Goodwill Nurse-Family Partnership® and The Excel Center®. Many have the opportunity to improve future employability and further their self-sufficiency. Over 60% of Goodwill employees face employment barriers such as a disability, criminal background or lack of a high school diploma.
“Shopping at Goodwill impacts thousands of Hoosiers daily,” said Kent. “So I invite you to visit our new store, find a new treasure, and impact someone in your community.”
