Goodwill: UNBOXED Raises Nearly $1M to Support Hoosiers

The Goodwill Foundation of Central & Southern Indiana recently hosted Goodwill: UNBOXED, its third annual sold-out fundraising event. To date, the event has raised nearly $1 million to support our most vulnerable neighbors.

Guests gathered at The AMP at 16 Tech in Indianapolis, delighting their taste buds with unlimited food samples from 20 vendors, along with signature cocktails.

Goodwill is well-known for its retail stores, but less-known is that Goodwill is a local, not-for-profit organization, and that charitable gifts are essential to fund life-changing health, employment and education programs in our central and southern Indiana communities.

Goodwill: UNBOXED offers attendees an opportunity to immerse themselves in the mission of Goodwill and the impact of their giving, while meeting some of the Hoosiers whose lives were changed after connecting with Goodwill, like Johnny Manson and Natalie Preimesberger, the special guests of the evening.

Attendees danced the night away to Stella Luna and the Satellites, which provided the evening’s entertainment.

With proceeds from this year’s event alone, 580 Hoosiers will overcome barriers like food insecurity, lack of transportation and unstable housing; more than 40 will enroll in school or increase their income through a promotion or new job; and more than 300 will improve a financial measure, like their credit score.

Thank you to our generous sponsors and guests for a fantastic evening of fun and philanthropy! View general photos and photo booth portraits on our Flickr page, and share and tag us in your favorites.

If you were unable to attend but still want to support Hoosiers in our community, you can make a financial gift today.
