    Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana and Mount Paran Church partnered to host a drive-thru turkey giveaway event for Indianapolis’s far eastside on November 22 from 12 - 3 p.m. Over 350 turkeys were distributed to community members in the Circle City Prep parking lot located at 4002 N. Franklin Road.

    Faith Hicks is a junior at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School who initially enrolled as a freshman a few years ago. Perhaps it’s her tenure at the school that gives her an air of confidence as she walks with her peers through the Indy Met hallways, but right away, it’s easy to see that Faith is one-of-a-kind.

    The Children's Learning Center (CLC) by Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana opened in June 1980 as BridgePointe Children’s Academy in response to a growing need for childcare services for children with disabilities. Today, the CLC provides over 10,000 hours of childcare for all children, challenged to gifted, ranging from six weeks old to five years old, which includes more than 150 families each year.

    Goodwill Fights Indiana Dropout Rate with Free High School for Adults

    October is National Dropout Awareness Month. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, over 12% of Hoosier working-age adults lack a high school diploma. The Excel Center®, Goodwill’s free high school for adults, is working to decrease that rate by providing adult students the opportunity to pick up where they left off in school, providing support and resources to meet their academic and career goals.

    Goodwill to Open New Store in Danville

    Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is celebrating the opening of its newest store in Danville on Thursday, October 14, at 9 a.m. Located at 8 Ridge Avenue, the store features a large inventory of clothing, housewares, toys, books and more. Store hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The donation center is also open during normal business hours.

    Goodwill strongly believes it is essential to raise education attainment levels in Indiana. Not only are the lifetime earnings of high school graduates significantly higher than those of individuals who have left school, but the children of high school graduates are also 50% less likely to leave high school themselves. Goodwill provides opportunities for both adults and youth through The Excel Center® and Indianapolis Metropolitan High School.

    Grand Opening of New Goodwill Store in Corydon on August 31

    Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is celebrating the grand opening of its newest retail store in Corydon on August 31, 2021 at 9 a.m. Located at 190 Pacer Drive NW, the store will replace the previous location and offer more space to shoppers for bargain-hunting. Store hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Goodwill is accepting donations during store hours through a contactless process.

    COVID-19 Vaccine Mobile Clinics Offered Across Goodwill

    Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana partnered with the Indiana State Department of Health to provide mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics at many of our sites, including all 15 Excel Center®  campuses and Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. Goodwill’s Nurse-Family Partnership® team volunteered to be onsite at each mobile clinic to help administer more vaccines than would normally be possible.
