On September 10, The AMP at 16 Tech was filled with energy, hope and purpose as Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana hosted its fourth annual Goodwill: UNBOXED fundraiser. The sold-out event brought together community leaders, partners and supporters who share a belief in building brighter futures for Hoosiers.

Since its inception, Goodwill: UNBOXED has raised more than $1.4 million to support education, jobs, housing and health. But the heart of the evening wasn’t the numbers – it was the stories. Guests walked through  the Mission Experience, an interactive journey that introduced them to Hoosiers whose lives have been transformed with coaching from Goodwill Coaches. Face-to-face conversations and immersive exhibits created powerful moments of connection that won’t soon be forgotten.

“This event is more than a celebration. It’s a testament to the commitment our community has to creating opportunities for Hoosiers,” said Kent Kramer, president and CEO of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana and Goodwill of Central Illinois.

Attendees saw firsthand how their support translates into real change. Because of this year’s event, 675 Hoosiers will overcome barriers like food insecurity, unstable housing and lack of transportation. Hundreds more will pursue education or increase their income through better jobs, while hundreds will take steps toward financial stability.

“The success of Goodwill: UNBOXED would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, partners and donors,” said Rachel Cline Eble, senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer of Goodwill Foundation of Central & Southern Indiana. Their investment ensures that Goodwill can continue to innovate and expand the programs that make a measurable difference in the lives of the people we serve.”

What made the evening so special was the sense of unity in the room. Guests didn’t just attend a fundraiser – they became part of a shared movement. Conversations flowed, connections deepened and together, event attendees celebrated the resilience and potential of thousands of Hoosiers.

Goodwill: UNBOXED has quickly become more than an event. It’s a tradition of impact, a gathering that blends authenticity, storytelling and purpose. Each year, it reminds us that when our community comes together, we can unbox opportunity and hope for our neighbors.
